Nordic Legal Trainee to our Legal, Compliance and Alliance Management Department
We are looking for a law student to our office in Vedbæk, Denmark, with at least a couple of years of studies completed. You will work in a Nordic setting assisting our Independent Associated Companies in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, and our agent in Iceland. This is a role involving a high degree of independent work.
Your primary responsibilities will be:
- General legal advice to our Nordic companies
- Commercial contract review
- Update template contracts
- Review promotional material and issues relating to promotional Codes
- Organize contract database
- Create legal Standard Operating Procedures
- Administrative work relating to our international partnerships
- Due Diligence of third party intermediaries
- Training of employees in legal and compliance topics
- Maintain risk assessment and compliance enhancement plan
- Create compliance Standard Operating Procedures
- Assist in the continued development of the Nordic compliance program
We are looking for an individual who is comfortable with working independently and has a high level of integrity as well as a well-founded understanding of legal risks. You will have a lot of responsibility for driving projects if you prove to be ready for such responsibility.
What we offer
You will receive on-the-job training on how it is to work as an in-house attorney where you will have to constantly deliver legal-risk assessments and advice which supports a commercial goal and the company’s strategy. Business travel in the Nordic countries may be relevant from time to time. We have an informal tone at the office and offer a competitive salary.
The position is part-time and the payment is hour-based. The estimated amount of work is 16 hours per week.
We require good written and spoken skills in English and an ability to communicate in the Nordic languages (Danish/Norwegian/Swedish). The Legal Trainee will be reporting to our Head of Legal, Compliance and Alliance Management, Nicolai Ellehuus.
