We are looking for a law student to join us in our offices in Vedbæk, Denmark. You are probably approaching the finalization of your Bachelor of Laws (BA.Jur) or (HA.Jur) or have just commenced the masters programme. The Assistant Legal Advisor will get the chance to convert theory into practice in a role as in-house legal advisor through delivering qualified legal advice and handling of legal projects in support of the company’s goals and strategy.
As the position involves supporting our Independent Associated Companies in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden as well as our agent in Iceland, some short-term business travel may be required from time to time.
This is a role that involves and requires a high degree of independence, personal initiative and drive. The Nordic Assistant Legal Advisor will be reporting to the Nordic Head of Legal & Compliance, Henrik Beckmann.
A selection of the primary areas of work comprise:
- General legal advice to our Nordic companies
- Drafting and review of commercial contracts as well as updating of templates and managing of contract database
- Review of promotional material and issues relating to the pharmaceutical industry codes
- Drafting legal and compliance related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Due Diligence of third party intermediaries
- Training of employees in legal and compliance topics
- Maintaining and updating risk assessments and compliance enhancement plans
- Assisting in the continued development of the Nordic compliance program
- Ensure compliance with and implementation of relevant legislation including the General Data Protection Regulation
The candidate should have a strong personal drive and be comfortable working independently and venturing into new legal territory. The Assistant Legal Advisor must have a high level of integrity as well as a well-founded understanding of legal risks. The role offers the opportunity for the right candidate to obtain responsibility for both small and large legal and compliance projects across several countries.
Strong written and spoken English skills and a reasonable understanding of the Scandinavian languages (Danish/Norwegian/Swedish), is a requirement
